Tower shape & Structural Design

If we connect the outer columns on top of the building they can act as archs. In this way we are able to hang the upper floors to the total spider structure. By doing this, the upper interior columns will be loaded in tension. This is an option in order to keep the exhibition space free of columns. The lower strucure will be the opposite. The inner columns will bear the expo, restaurant and parking, and be loaded in compression. Tension rings all over the body will keep the archs from buckling. The ring detail in the expo floor, will need extra attention because of the curvature of the archs. see images below.

First Design sketches

Idea to build a fluent volume covered by a membrane that has climatic and energy saving qualities (photovoltaic cells?).
the volume needs to be larger at one level in order to fit the exhibition space of 1000m2.
The lift shaft would be placed in the straight corner. the other side can be sculptural. To give the floors a direction and enough light and outside space, we could cut the volume vertically. This would create connections between the different floors as well.
A load bearing structure in crossing helix shapes, could solve the stability issues in a fluent way.
