If we connect the outer columns on top of the building they can act as archs. In this way we are able to hang the upper floors to the total spider structure. By doing this, the upper interior columns will be loaded in tension. This is an option in order to keep the exhibition space free of columns. The lower strucure will be the opposite. The inner columns will bear the expo, restaurant and parking, and be loaded in compression. Tension rings all over the body will keep the archs from buckling. The ring detail in the expo floor, will need extra attention because of the curvature of the archs. see images below.
